Winners of the Consumers Value Awards (CVA), organised by Consumers Value Broadcasting (CVB), will be known on 24 August and presented with their well-won awards.
According to the organisers, venue of the ceremony is the Ijakadi Hall of Radisson Blu, Ikeja, Lagos.
For three months from April, an extensive campaign was ran on the CVA websites asking consumers to cast votes for brands of repute based on the experiences of individual consumers.
Consumers responded to the call to action by casting votes on the platform for over 40 market segments.
CVB’s Co-Founder/CEO, Mr Akonte Ekine said the consumers were at the heart of the success of the website voting concept as they participated patiently on the platform all through the period and receiving assurances from the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their emails to authenticate the identity of the consumers.
He commended consumers for casting votes and revealed that the award event would mark a day of honour for brands. The brands, he explained, would wear a badge of honour from consumers on that day.

At the onset of the campaign, Ekine explained that the move became expedient given the current clustered market and the growing concern about consumer vulnerability.
He said the essence of the website was to serve as a reference platform to distinguish consumers’ experiences as a vehicle for establishing leading products, services and companies worthy of consumers’ money.
He added that the website was a reliable voting platform to guide consumers whenever they are presented with a sequence of choices before making a purchase.
