Health workers at the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) have suspended their six-week-old strike on Monday.
They are members of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN).
MHWUN Vice Chairman, Idzi Isua told union’s congress on Monday morning that the union agreed to suspend the strike following an agreement with NAFDAC management.
The strike had commenced on 22 June to protest what the union described as poor welfare packages and unpaid promotion arrears.
In 2021, the workers went on a seven-day warning strike to demand the payment of promotion arrears for 2018 and 2019 promotions owed its members.
