IWD 2024: Stakeholders call for investment in women to quicken development

Today is international women’s day

International Women’s Day which is celebrated every 8th March serves as a worldwide celebration of women’s accomplishments in various spheres, including social, economic, cultural, and political realms. It also serves as a rallying call for advancing women’s rights and achieving gender equality.

The Theme for this year’s international women’s day which is “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” is aimed at highlighting the transformative impact of investing in women for creating a healthier, safer, and more equitable world.

Breezy’s News correspondent Oluwasemiloore Ige engaged Rev. Dr. Victor Tade on the importance of investing in women for economic empowerment and addressing global challenges like poverty.
She had this to say;
