Unilever Nigeria Plc recorded a turnover of N43.8 billion in the financial year which ended 30 June 2022, representing 35 percent topline growth over the N32.4 billion posted in the corresponding period in 2021.
According to the unaudited interim report just released, the result showed that the company recorded a gross profit of N14.2 billion for the period that ended 30 June 2022, which is 73 percent up against N8.2 billion reported for same period last year.
Overall, Unilever recorded profit N1.9 billion for the just ended year, compared to a loss after tax of N.7 billion reported for the corresponding period in 2021.
The Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Business Director, Soromidayo George said the result revealed that, while the company remains focused on its strategy to deliver sustainable growth, it is pleased with its performance progress riding on the pillars of operational efficiency, cost optimisation, purposeful brands and increasing market share across key categories.
“Unilever Nigeria remains committed to investing in Nigeria to continue to serve citizens with its brands and products to enhance their health, hygiene and wellbeing,” she added.
