A capacity building and value system advocacy for religious and educational leaders holds on Tuesday, 24th May at the Bethel Event Centre Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The Convener of the workshop, Engr. Kola Oyelowo, who is of the Bethel Values Advocacy, said the workshop focuses on value systems for leaders and the society.
According to him, the programme is designed for both religious and educational leaders due to their roles in imparting knowledge and teaching value based subjects.
Professor of Aquaculture at the University of Lagos, Simeon Ayoola will speak on “Life is Sacred: We Stand Against Rape and Suicide”, while the President of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Prof. Emiola Nihinlola will discuss “Work Has Dignity: We Stand Against Idleness and Ritual Money.
The National Director of the Education Dialogue and Value System Initiatives, Dr Kehinde Babarinde, who is also the Programme Director, is to deliver a keynote paper on: “Our Values Will Determine What We Value”.
The Executive Director of DIMEC Global Project, Rev. Peter Bright Snr will also make a presentation at the workshop.
Babarinde said participants are from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Bowen University Teaching Hospital, the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary and other institutions.
