Ahead of the Delta State governorship election primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who is also the Deputy President of the Senate, arrived in Asaba, the state capital, on Wednesday.
The primary, which holds at Federal Technical College, Asaba, is expected to witness the gathering of elected delegates who will elect the party’s standard bearer in the 2023 gubernatorial polls.
The aircraft conveying the Delta Central lawmaker landed at Asaba Airport around 6:30 pm.
The entourage included his Chief of Staff, Dr Otive Igbuzor, former presidential spokesman and Director, Communications and Media Strategy for the Ovie Omo-Agege Campaign Organisation, Mr Ima Niboro, APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka.
Officials of the party at the national level are already in the state capital for the conduct of the exercise.
Omo-Agege’s governorship aspiration is focused on building a new Delta premised on “Employment and Empowerment, Development, Good Governance and Enduring peace and security (EDGE)”.
