The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has said that 1,783 candidates of the recently concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) have been rescheduled to rewrite the examinations.
In several posts on on its verified Twitter handle, JAMB explained that the candidates would retake the UTME as a result of biometric challenges they experienced, among other factors.
Out of the 1,761,338 candidates who registered to sit the 2022 UTME, 1,707,626 eventually did so.
So far, JAMB has released 1,671,203 results, 27,105 others are being further screened.
Sixty-nine results were withheld.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede had earlier said that the Board would be screening all the candidates’ results before making them available to the candidates.
