Former Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Kehinde Bamigbetan has announced his bid for the Oshodi/Isolo 2 Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.

Bamigbetan, who served as Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area from 2008 and 2014 and is well regarded in his constituency, announced his decision to members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ejigbo during his mobilisation drive in Ejigbo.

He promised to offer quality representation, stressing that he would articulate the problems confronting the constituency on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Bamigbetan has been described by constituents as a community patriot, loyal chieftain of APC, a mobiliser and organiser.

An outstanding journalist and publisher, he was Deputy Chief Press Secretary, and later, Chief Press Secretary to former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu before serving for two terms as Chairman of Ejigbo Council.

Under the Ambode administration, Bamigbetan was appointed Special Adviser on Community Matters, and later, Commissioner for Information and Strategy.

At the recent mobilisation meeting with grassroots party leaders, Bamigbetan emphasised the need for a representative who would not be a bench warmer in the parliament.

He said having lived and served in the constituency, he is quite conversant with the hopes, yearnings and aspirations of the people for development.

Bamigbetan also urged the people to anticipate a new epoch at the national level.

Commending  APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for putting his hat in the presidential ring, Bamigbetan said the future of Nigeria is bright as the country would savour an excellent leadership.
