MRS Oil Nigeria Plc forecasts N3.95b profit for Q3 2025

MRS Oil Nigeria Plc has projected a significant profit after tax of N3.95 billion for the third quarter of 2025, with this optimistic forecast underpinned by an anticipated revenue of N393.58 billion.

The company officially announced these figures on 4 June 2025.

According to the company’s Q3 forecast statement of comprehensive income, which was filed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Tuesday, MRS Oil expects a turnover of N393.58 billion.

From this, a cost of sales amounting to N378.93 billion is projected, leading to a gross profit of N14.65 billion.

After accounting for distribution, administrative, and other expenses, which are estimated at N8.91 billion, the operating profit is forecasted to reach N6 billion.

The company also anticipates other income of N261.67 million and finance costs of N58.61 million. These figures culminate in a projected profit before tax of N5.90 billion.

Following a provision for taxation of N1.95 billion, the net profit after tax is robustly forecasted at N3.95 billion. Basic earnings per share for the period are estimated at N11.53.

In the statement of cash flows, MRS Oil projects a net cash generation of N4.03 billion from its operating activities.

However, investing activities are expected to result in an outflow of N5.63 billion, with no cash flow anticipated from financing activities.

Consequently, the company forecasts a net decrease in cash and cash equivalents of N1.60 billion, bringing the expected cash balance at the end of the third quarter to N4.62 billion.
