Member of Federal House of Representatives from Zamfara State, Rt Hon Dr Aminu Sani Jaji has received Zamfara State Chairman of the National Conscience Party (NCP), Alhaji Muhammad Bala Nasarawar Burkullu alongside his State and 14 Local Government Exco of the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dr Aminu Sani Jaji who is representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency also received another political chieftain from Maradun Local Government Area, Alhaji Sani Bawa Damaga alongside hundreds of his supporters to the APC Jajiya Political movement in the state.
The defectors and thousands of their followers joined the APC through the Jajiya APC Political Movement under the leadership of Alhaji Isiyaka Ajiya Anka.
The NCP National Chairman Alhaji Muhammad Bala said they decided to join the APC because it has remained the strongest political party in Zamfara State and the country in general.
The NCP Chairman said, ‘we are convinced with the Jajiya Political movement, mutual understanding with Hon Aminu Sani Jaji, so we decided to join APC, we will remain in the party for the development of our dear state’.
Also speaking, Alhaji Sani Bawa Damaga said they were convinced with the performance of and good representation of Aminu Jaji Considering various developmental achievements he had recorded in his constituency and Zamfara State in general.
Alhaji Sani Bawa Damaga further explained that ‘people of Maradun local Government will continue to remain in the party under the able of Aminu Sani Jaji for the wellbeing of the people of Zamfara State.
Receiving the defectors, Zamfara State APC Chairman under Jajiya Political movement, Alhaji Isiyaka Ajiya Anka commended the decampees for their decision of joining the party.
The Chairman APC Jajiya Political movement described Jajiya as the strongest political group in the state with active structures across the 14 local Government Areas of the state.
Ajiya Anka promised that all the defectors would be engaged in the party’s activities without any discrimination.
He urged them to remain committed to the development of the party by promoting unity, peace and stability in the APC.
The Federal lawmaker, Aminu Sani Jaji represented by Former Commissioner of High Education in Zamfara State, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammed Gurbin -Bore at the occasion, described the defector’s action as a welcome development for the party in Zamfara State and Nigeria in general.
The Federal lawmaker Aminu Jaji who is the chairman House Committee on Ecological Fund assured them of fair treatment and good working relationship to enhance the capacity of the party in the state.
He expressed confidence that the political experience and the calibre of the defectors, especially their leaders, would boost the strength of Jajiyya Movement and the entire APC family in the state.
‘I urged you to remain with APC and feel free to contribute to the best of your capacity for the development of the party’, he said.
