The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has appointed AGENTPR™, an artificial intelligence-powered media intelligence platform developed by Cihan Media Communications, as the Official Media Intelligence Platform for the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) in Abuja.

The partnership is part of preparations for the global public relations forum, which is scheduled to take place in Nigeria from 15 to 21 November 2026.

Under the agreement, AGENTPR™ will provide media intelligence throughout the Forum’s lifecycle, including real-time monitoring, issue detection, analysis of coverage across multiple platforms and tracking of international public relations and trade media.

The appointment is expected to give organisers a structured view of media narratives surrounding Nigeria’s hosting of the international event, while helping them identify emerging issues and assess the Forum’s visibility and reputational impact.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cihan Media Communications and founder of AGENTPR™, Dr Celestine Achi, said the platform would provide NIPR and the WPRF organising committee with insight into media narratives at domestic, continental and international levels.

“Through this partnership, AGENTPR™ provides NIPR leadership and the WPRF organising structure with real-time visibility into the global, continental and domestic media narrative,” Achi said.

He described the platform as more than conventional media monitoring, saying it was designed to analyse context, stakeholder intent, reputational risks and changes in public narratives.

AGENTPR™ is built around what its developers describe as “Meaning Intelligence™”, an approach intended to move beyond conventional sentiment analysis by examining tone, context, cultural nuance, stakeholder intent and narrative shifts.

For WPRF Abuja, the platform will monitor Nigerian media, African and international coverage, broadcast outlets, social media conversations and emerging issues.

The resulting intelligence is expected to support the organisers in monitoring the Forum’s visibility, identifying potential reputational risks, assessing stakeholder perceptions and documenting the event’s communications impact.

Achi said the partnership reflected changes in how organisations measure the effectiveness of public relations in an increasingly AI-driven communications environment.

“Visibility is no longer enough. In the AI age, institutions must understand how they are being interpreted by people, by media systems and increasingly by AI systems,” he said.

He added that AGENTPR™ was developed to help communication professionals move from measuring exposure to gathering evidence and from basic media monitoring to strategic intelligence.

The NIPR President, Dr Ike Neliaku, described the series of partnership agreements entered into by the institute ahead of WPRF Abuja 2026 as part of efforts to deliver what he called the “Biggest, Brightest and Boldest WPRF”.

The agreement with AGENTPR™ adds a dedicated media intelligence component to preparations for the Forum, which is expected to bring together public relations professionals and other communications stakeholders from around the world.

WPRF Abuja 2026 will mark Nigeria’s hosting of the global public relations gathering and is expected to place the country’s communications industry under increased international scrutiny.

AGENTPR™ was developed by Cihan Media Communications, a Lagos-based strategic communications, media intelligence and reputation advisory firm. The company operates across public relations, artificial intelligence governance, media intelligence and responsible communication.
