The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, on Sunday met with Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as discussions intensify ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Basiru said the meeting focused on efforts to secure Osun State for President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential poll.
The APC National Secretary disclosed this in a statement following his visit to the governor.
According to Basiru, Adeleke had pledged to work towards ensuring that Tinubu secures victory in the state in 2027.
Basiru said the meeting also provided an opportunity to congratulate Adeleke on his recent electoral victory and appreciate him for attending the burial of his late mother.
“On a congratulatory visit to His Excellency, Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, on his victory at the polls, and to specially appreciate him for his visit during the burial of my late mother.
“We also discussed how to deliver Osun for Mr President, as promised by Governor Ademola Adeleke, in the 2027 presidential election,” he said.
