Aston Villa Women have completed the permanent signing of Super Falcons defender Rofiat Imuran from London City Lionesses.

The 22-year-old left-back becomes the ninth addition to Natalia Arroyo’s squad during the summer transfer window as Villa continue to strengthen their team ahead of the new campaign.

Imuran began her professional career in France with Stade de Reims, where she made 27 league appearances and scored seven goals during her two seasons with the club.

She moved to London City Lionesses in 2024 and has since established herself as one of Nigeria’s promising defensive talents.

At international level, Imuran has represented the Super Falcons at major tournaments, featuring in Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Her move to Aston Villa marks another step forward in her club career as she prepares to compete in the English women’s top flight.
