Why Pastor Idowu’s “Men Dey”ministration exposed rottenness in our churches

I watched the video of Pastor Bolaji Idowu’s “Men Dey” ministration, and honestly, I just laughed out loud at the blind, ignorant reaction of all the ladies in that gathering.

First, let’s talk about the reality of the room. The “Men Dey” response from those ladies was a glaring sign that a large number of women out there—and sadly, right inside our churches—are completely irresponsible. They are total scammers. They are vultures circling around, looking exclusively for men who can fund their fake, superficial lifestyles. If you are foolish enough to fall into the hands of this kind of lady, my brother, consider yourself dead meat.

They will chew you up and spit you out.

Every single day, men break their backs under the scorching sun, sweating blood to make ends meet, while these parasites sit down waiting to harvest where they did not sow. They bring zero value, zero vision, and zero substance to the table, yet they demand royal treatment. They want a rich man to bankroll their vanity while they offer nothing in return except makeup, entitlement, and drama. It is a sickening plague, and it is time someone speaks the raw, unadulterated truth about it without hiding behind religious correctness.

THE FOLLY OF TEACHING MORALS TO THE IMMORAL

It is an absolute waste of precious time trying to teach an immoral person how to be moral. The bitter truth is that most people sitting in church week after week—both men and ladies—are never truly serious with their lives. A serious-minded person doesn’t need anyone to lecture them on how to live a right and acceptable life. They have already designed and planned their lives internally, and they walk it out with strict intention every single day.

Trying to teach some people the core values of life is nothing more than putting a golden chain on a dirty pig. Most of the ladies in that gathering are living, walking examples of Proverbs 11:22: As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a lovely woman who lacks discretion.

You can dress them up in the finest clothes, put them in the best church auditoriums, and spray them with expensive perfume, but a lack of discretion will always expose their true nature.

Proverbs 31:30 reminds us clearly that charm is deceitful and beauty passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Yet, what we see today are women trusting in their physical attributes and manipulation skills to trap unsuspecting men. They have turned the sacred institution of marriage into a poverty-alleviation program and a survival strategy. If your character is rotten, no amount of church attendance, tongue-speaking, or shouting of amen will wash away the stench of your desperation.

WALKING STRAIGHT INTO A CURSE

Second, everyone under that ministration who joined that chant is walking under a heavy curse. I sincerely guess Pastor Bolaji Idowu himself had no idea what he actually did on that stage. He pulled off his trainer and specifically quoted Matthew 10:14 to the crowd. But let’s look at the actual script from Matthew 10:12–15: And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!
Verse 15 was never a blessing; it was a severe, solemn curse. And to everyone who sat there, shouting him down with their proud, ignorant “Men Dey” chorus, I genuinely hope and pray that their lives will not move permanently from the frying pan into the blazing fire.
When people mock divine warnings and celebrate frivolity in the house of God, they seal their own destruction.

Ecclesiastes 7:5 says it is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools. That crowd preferred the song of fools, cheering for a mirage while ignoring the heavy spiritual weight of what was taking place. Ignorance is not an excuse when destruction knocks on your door.

THE DANGER OF CHEAP FAMILIARITY

This is what happens when people allow too much cheap familiarity in sacred spaces. When the altar becomes a comedy stage, reverence dies. It is just an absolute shame to watch.
Familiarity doesn’t just breed contempt; it blinds you to the sacred warnings standing right in front of you. Olumide Adeoye
Friends, I am begging you to open your eyes, open your heart, and open your spirit.

Stop walking through life with your eyes closed. The mere fact that you met someone inside a church building does not automatically mean they will make your life beautiful. Church is filled with wheat and tares growing together. Use your head before you lose your destiny.

Matthew 13:30 tells us to let both grow together until the harvest, and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather together the first tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn. The tares are inside the church, smiling at you, singing in the choir, and screaming “Men Dey” while plotting how to ruin your destiny. If you do not have spiritual discernment, you will date your way into an early grave.

They’ve been hearing those teachings my dear brother, but it’s not sinking into their brains because their intentions were not for the teachings to produce in their lives. Their intention is for a man to see them as someone good enough to be a wife.

The words wife, wise, and life are the same. Let me break it down for you to understand. If you marry a wife who is not wise, there is no way she will bring you life. And if you don’t have a life in a marriage as a man, you can never be productive or achieve your God-given purpose in life.
Eve, does not mean a woman or a wife. Eve means one who brings life. So the question is; is your marriage filled with life or death?

Proverbs 18:22 states that he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. Notice it says a wife, not just a female. Finding a female is easy, but finding a wife—a builder, a helper, a source of life—requires divine wisdom. If you tie your life to an empty vessel driven by greed and social media validation, you have successfully signed your own death warrant. Genesis 2:18 made it clear that the woman was created as a helper. If she is not helping your vision, she is hindering your progress.

Wake up, men. Stop thinking with your lower organs. Stop sacrificing your future on the altar of temporary physical pleasure. A woman who adds no value to your mind, your finances, or your spiritual walk is a liability. Cut her loose before she drags you to the gutters.
