A professor of engineering, Nebo has a professional background in mining, metallurgical and materials engineering.
Commenting on his appointment, Nebo expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in him, saying he was pleased to contribute his experience to the institution’s development.
He described education as a vital tool for transforming individuals, institutions and societies, stressing the need for higher education institutions to respond to changing economic realities and equip students with skills relevant to the world of work.
The Executive Principal of DGBS, Dr Humphrey Akanazu, described the appointment as an important step towards strengthening the institution’s academic and strategic leadership.
Akanazu said Nebo’s experience as a university administrator, engineer, former minister and public servant would support the school’s ambition to combine rigorous academic standards with practical knowledge and global relevance.
He added that the institution expected Nebo’s contributions to advance its academic quality, strategic direction and engagement with the education and business communities.
