The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has offered a $5,000 reward, equivalent to about ₦6.7 million, for information leading to the arrest of Nigerian woman Emuobosan Emanuella Hall, who failed to report to prison to begin serving an eight-year sentence for money laundering and fraud.

Hall, born in Nigeria on 10 October 1980, was convicted of conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in connection with a romance scam involving multiple victims.

According to the FBI, she was charged in April 2024 over her alleged role in laundering money obtained from the victims. She was arrested in Georgia, released on bond and later pleaded guilty to the offences.

Hall was sentenced to 96 months in federal prison in January 2026. However, she failed to report to the designated correctional facility in March 2026 to begin serving her sentence.

Her failure to report prompted the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans to issue a federal arrest warrant on 31 March 2026 for violating her bond conditions.

She was subsequently charged in a criminal complaint filed on 14 April 2026 with failing to appear to serve her sentence and was indicted on the same charge on 23 October 2026.

The FBI said Hall is also known as Emuobosan E. Hall, Emuobosan Emanuella Erih and “Mobo”.

The agency listed her connections to Warri and Oleh in Delta State, as well as Abuja. She is also reportedly linked to London, Gloucester and Croydon in England, and Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States.

According to her FBI wanted notice, Hall is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 87 kilogrammes, has black hair and brown eyes, and speaks English and some Yoruba.

The FBI said its reward of up to $5,000, equivalent to approximately ₦6.73 million at the exchange rate quoted on 30 October 2026, is available for information leading to her arrest.

The agency urged anyone with information about Hall’s whereabouts to contact the nearest FBI office or the US Embassy or Consulate.
