The cruel reality of forced marriage, broken homes and the unseen price of revenge

When a woman decides to lock a man out of his children’s lives out of spite, anger, or calculated manipulation, she is playing a dangerous game with time and karma. She thinks she is punishing him. She believes that keeping those kids away, feeding them lies, and raising them under a roof devoid of a father’s presence is the ultimate victory. But let me tell you the raw, unvarnished truth: any woman who denies a father the fundamental right to watch and nurture his children growing up must be ready to face the brutal consequences of her decision.

You cannot plant bitterness and expect to harvest peace. Life does not work that way. When you weaponize children, you are building a foundation of sand, and no matter how high you try to build that house, the storm of reality will eventually wash it away. Men are human beings, not automated cash dispensers or sperm donors to be used when convenient and discarded when the emotional weather changes. When you shut him out, you think you are winning. You are only signing a contract with future regret.

THE DANGEROUS ILLUSION THAT SEX IS LOVE

Let us address one of the biggest lies sold to young men and women in this generation. Sex is not love. Let that sink deep into your bones. Do not let anyone trap you into marriage simply because you are having great sex. Chemistry in the bedroom does not translate to compatibility in the living room.

Many people today are permanently shackled to the wrong partners purely through the hypnotic power of good sex, and in many cases, an unplanned pregnancy that follows right after. Society cheers, church bells ring, and family members clap, celebrating a union built on nothing more than physical synchronization and biological accidents. They call it fate. I call it a trap.

When the bedroom lights go out and the initial physical frenzy fades, reality steps in. You are left staring across the breakfast table at a stranger. You realize that great sex cannot pay school fees, it cannot resolve communication breakdowns, and it certainly cannot build emotional safety. If sex was the primary glue holding the relationship together, the marriage is already dead on arrival.

THE INEVITABLE EXIT STRATEGY

Whoever traps you into a marriage through manipulation, deceit, or pregnancy will eventually leave you and walk away from that marriage. It is a mathematical certainty. You cannot sustain a lifetime commitment on a foundation built under duress.
The person who had to lock you down using tricks or emotional blackmail does not have the emotional maturity to stay when the going gets tough. The moment pressure mounts, the moment financial struggles hit, or the moment the illusion wears thin, they will drop the mask and walk out the door. They entered the house through the back door of deception, and they will exit through that same door, leaving you shattered, confused, and picking up the pieces of a life you never really wanted in the first place.

We see it every single day. People fighting tooth and nail to force someone down the aisle, only to become bitter divorcees a few years later. Why? Because you cannot force loyalty. You cannot legislate commitment. When someone feels trapped, their natural biological instinct is to escape.

THE SILENT CASUALTIES: THE CHILDREN

And who suffers the most when these fraudulent unions crumble? The innocent children.
Any child you produce from a toxic, forced, or fractured marriage who does not grow up under the same roof with both parents is likely to have marital issues in the near future. This is not a curse; it is a psychological blueprint. Children do not learn relationships by listening to what you preach to them; they learn by watching how you live.
When a child grows up in a home where parents are constantly at war, or where one parent has been completely erased by the other’s malice, their internal software gets corrupted. They grow up viewing love as a battlefield, trust as a weakness, and commitment as a temporary arrangement. A girl raised without a healthy, present father figure often grows up looking for validation in all the wrong places, repeating the cycle of broken attachments. A boy raised without the steady, corrective discipline of an engaged father often struggles with identity, anger, and knowing how to be a stable protector.

You think your private wars do not leave scars? Every time you keep a child away from their father, every time you poison their mind against him, you are handing them a loaded gun to shoot their own future marriages. The trauma is passed down like a family heirloom.

THE PRICE OF BITTERNESS

Let us talk about the women who use children as weapons of war. You hold custody like a trophy, blocking calls, changing schools in secret, and telling the kids that their father abandoned them when he was actually locked out at the gate. You think you are protecting your peace.

As an author, counsellor, pastor, and therapist, I sit across from adults every single week who are still bleeding from the choices their mothers made decades ago. They look at me with hollow eyes and ask why they cannot stay in a stable relationship. I trace it right back to the root: a mother’s bitterness that robbed them of a father’s balance.

When you deny a man his fatherhood, you create an emotional debt that the universe always collects. You might enjoy the temporary power of control, but time moves fast. Those children will grow up. They will ask questions. They will seek out the truth for themselves. And when they realize that the narrative you fed them was a weaponized lie designed to feed your ego, the resentment will turn toward you. The child you tried to shield from a father will end up distancing themselves from a manipulative mother.

THE RAW TRUTH ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS

We need to stop romanticizing dysfunction. We need to stop pretending that every marriage is sacred just because a certificate was signed under pressure. Some unions are institutionalized prisons, and the longer you stay inside them, the more your soul rots away.

Real love requires freedom. It requires two mature adults looking at each other, naked of pretense, stripped of biological traps, and deciding every single day to stay. If you have to manipulate someone into marrying you, you have already lost them. You are holding an empty shell.

And if you are a man reading this, grow a backbone. Stop letting your biological impulses override your common sense. The moment you realize someone is trying to trap you, protect your mind, protect your future, and protect your sanity. Because once you are legally and emotionally entangled in a fraudulent dynamic, untangling yourself leaves scars that take a lifetime to heal.

BREAKING THE GENERATIONAL CYCLE

If we are going to fix our society, we must start speaking the brutal, unadulterated truth. Healing does not come from sweeping dirt under the rug to keep up appearances for family and friends. Healing comes from acknowledging the damage, cutting off toxic patterns, and refusing to participate in generational sabotage.

Mothers must stop playing God with their children’s lineage. Fathers must stop abandoning their responsibilities out of frustration with the mother. Until we learn to separate our personal bitterness from our parental duties, we will continue to churn out broken generations struggling to spell the word “commitment.”

As we navigate these complex realities of life, relationships, and destiny, remember that you do not have to walk this path alone.
