It is high time that the controversial and factional Osun State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Nurudeen Ifeanyi Ademola Adeleke, stopped unjustifiably attributing the cause of the litany of his political woes on Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).
The recent allegation of Sunday Bisi-led Campaign Organisation of Senator Adeleke that Oyetola is working in cahoots with INEC to influence the result of the 16th July governorship election in the state is not only unfounded, reckless, and baseless but an express admission of defeat that is glaringly starring the Osun PDP and its unpopular factional governorship candidate in the face.
My golden advice for the Adeleke’s campaign organisation is that the body should look inward for the causes of the woes of its candidate, who is only found suitable to be a factional candidate because of some of the ills that democratic governance allows.
Comparing Governor Oyetola with the dancing Adeleke can be likened to the disparity between death and sleep. The difference is crystal clear. I wonder why the Adeleke confused campaign organisation would hold Oyetola and INEC responsible for their failure when it is obvious that no known Pentecostal church is capable of delivering him from his pathological challenges. Come to think of it, is it Governor Oyetola or the INEC that has sealed Ademola’s mouth from talking to the press seven months after he had come back from his questionable educational sojourn in the United States of America?
Is it Oyetola that has been instrumental to the dumbness of the Ede-born factional governorship candidate who apparently has been running away from the opportunities to face the press?
Is it not funny that when it is publicly acknowledged that a student is a block head, his parents are commending him for having a very good handwriting! This is balderdash!! If such posture can work in other states of the federation, definitely it will not work in Osun State where education is an instituted industry. I wonder why the Senator Adeleke Campaign Organisation has been crying aloud about the imminent failure of its governorship candidate when it is obvious that failure and its candidate are like Siamese twins? Unless two people agree, can they be intimate and forge ahead in unison?
As usual, the ominous signs have revealed that Ademola has lost the incoming election again because of his incompetence, ill-preparedness, lack of tact and diplomacy.
When the Osun PDP was a metaphorical bunch of brooms, it’s on record that the APC has been trouncing it. How much less when the state PDP has given a forceful birth to Accord and the Labour Party?
Who even assured the Adeleke camp in particular, and the other PDP factions in the state that it will have a legally-recognised candidate before the governorship election?
One needs not be a legal luminary to forecast that the Osun PDP won’t have a candidate for the governorship election. The ongoing legal fireworks orchestrated by ceaseless in-fighting would pervade the reactionary party before, during and after the governorship election.
Someone should help explain to Senator Adeleke that another fresh litigation against his candidature was kick-started about nine days ago as it affects the eligibility of the Caretaker Committee members, and that the case has been adjourned to May ending, or thereabouts. This is a potent reason why it is categorical that the Osun PDP is not likely to have a candidate for the July governorship election.
Indeed, you can’t give what you don’t have. One wonders what could have emboldened Senator Adeleke to make the establishment of a university one of the promises of his dream administration when he is found wanton in that regard? Was it Governor Oyetola too who was responsible for the poor showing of the dancing Senator when he carried his malfunctioned campaign train to the palace of the foremost traditional ruler in Ijesaland?
The highly-lettered and exposed traditional ruler took Adeleke and his team to the cleaners over the upgrading of the state College of Education to a university, which is being systematically prosecuted by the talk-and-do and workaholic Governor Oyetola.
It is equally observed that Senator Adeleke’s campaign has been technically suspended possibly because of the cloudy atmosphere facing his candidature. Whoever has ears should listen attentively that there’s no vacancy in the Bola Ige House, Abere, Osun State, currently being occupied by the performance personified Governor Oyetola.
The Governor has wormed himself into the heart of the people of Osun State through exemplary performance in the office which is significantly verifiable in the nooks and crannies of the state.
