In a letter signed by its President, Rt. Hon. Mathew Egbadon; and Public Relations Officer, Mr. Tony Iyare, EOI eulogised the Benin monarch on his birthday and eighth anniversary on the throne. “We once again, thank you immensely for the warm and fatherly reception you accorded a delegation of Esan people (including members of our association), led by the royal fathers in Esan land, during our visit to your palace last year, to solicit your support and prayers for the next Governor of Edo State to come from Esan land in the interest of equity, fairness and justice.

“Your usual sense of fairness and love for all, was brought to bear on the interaction you had with our delegation on that occasion; and we believe the visit helped to shape the conversations about the next governor for the state after the visit”, the organisation noted.
