The inaugural igeria Professional Football League (NPFL)-Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation pre-season Super Cup earlier scheduled to run from 1st to 4th December has been shifted to 6th to 9th December. According to the organisations, the change was necessitated by logistics challenges.
Four teamsEnyimba, Shooting Stars, Rangers and Bendel Insurance — will be participating in the tournament, packaged by Tingo Media.
The venue remains the same — Mobalaji Stadium, Onikan, Lagos.
Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation is offering an unprecedented ₦100 million prize money for the competition.
“We regret to announce a slight shift in schedule for the NPFL-Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation pre-season Super Cup tournament due to unexpected logistics reasons that arose. However, the venue remains unchanged as the tournament now holds from 6th — 9th December”, said the Head of Operations at NPFL, Davidson Owumi.
Individual prizes in the tournament include ₦1 million each for the Highest Goal Scorer and the Most Valuable Player.
