Abducted wife, children of Kwara lawmaker regain freedom

The wife and two children of the Kwara State House of Assembly member, Hon. Soliu Ayanshola who were abducted on Monday, have regained freedom, according to top government sources.

The victims regained their freedom at about 8 pm on Wednesday, following discreet efforts of the security agencies and the state government.

“At least five members of the gang that abducted them have also been arrested following discreet intelligence and surveillance works by all the teams involved”, one of the sources said.

The Police have confirmed the development.

Ayanshola represents Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru state constituency, and is a member of the All Progressives Congress.

The abductors were said to have stormed his country home in Shao, Moro Local Government Area of the state, around 1 am and took the victims away.
