At last, the headlines vindicated me. From the television broadcast, through radio, print and even the social media platforms, the headlines confirmed the visit of President Bola Tinubu to Abia State. Then, I ask again: what was the fuss about the President not coming in person? Were the roads and projects commissioned by Mr. President? Yes. Were the guests happy and satisfied with the massive projects executed by Governor Alex Otti? Yes. Were Abians jubilant and elated by the ceremony? Yes. Have the projects and roads been delivered to Abians? Yes.
Will the infrastructure improve the life of Abians and add value and quality to their daily existence? The answer remains, Yes.

Let me add that it was a great day in Abia and the ceremony was a huge success. Through these infrastructure, Governor Otti is expanding the frontiers of our social space as a state. The projects stand as clear vindication to his vision of building a new Abia.

Let me remind those who occupied their day with the politics of the president’s movement that nobody was missed at the event. Nobody’s absence was felt. The projects were for Abians and the people came, saw and conquered. It was jubilation galore through Umuahia to the streets of Aba.

Essentially, the Friday event has trully shown the mood, feelings, inner contentment and the warm disposition of the Abia people towards their leader. Their excitement was original, flowing from the inner recesses of their hearts. Their applause was true and untainted, a mass reflex of approval. They surged on the streets, waving their hands, singing and danciing, in open endorsement and confirmation of their loyalty.

Indeed, the Friday event was a victory for democracy and an open cheque by the people for continuity.
