District 914 marks International Inner Wheel Day with donation to orphanage home

The District 914 Chairman of the International Inner Wheel Club in Nigeria, Dr. Ego Uzoezie has commended the management and staff of St Martin’s Community Children/Welfare (Orphanage), Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State for their great work even as she encouraged them to do more.

Uzoezie presented gift items, including wheelchairs, adult pampers, children’s diapers, multivitamins, food items, and money to the home in commemoration of the International Inner Wheel Day celebrated all over the world every 10 January.

The International Inner Wheel Club in Nigeria (District 914) has marked the District Chairman’s Star Project in commemoration of the International Inner Wheel Day that is celebrated all over the world every 10 January.

It was a day of joy as the District Chairman’s Star Project was executed.

Uzoezie explained that the club’s visit to the home was to support them in commemoration of the International Inner Wheel Day.

A Board Director of the club, Prof. Ezimma Nnabuife said: ‘We have 16 Board of Directors in the whole world, I am one of them. We are here to commemorate the International Inner Wheel Day. We help the vulnerable and people in need, like widows. We pay children’s school fees. We do all these by asking people for help’.

She commended St Martin’s church for establishing such a home and also prayed for God to bless them.

The Coordinator of the home, Rev. Sister Clemencio Agba expressed her thanks to the club for its kind gesture. ‘I thank God for your visit. You brought all the things we need. It shall be well with you. May God bless you abundantly and answer your prayers in this year, 2026. You shall live long, in good health and happiness’, she said.

Other members of the club at the event included a past National Secretary, Ucheoma Chukwudum; International Service Organiser, Ogechukwu Nwogwugwu, and Prof. Ifeoma Mbachu.

A service oriented organisation, the International Inner Wheel Club is a non-governmental organisation in over 100 countries. It has six districts in Nigeria.
