As Muslims celebrate Eid-El-Kabir, the Chief Security Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor, Assistant Inspector General Ahmad Abdurrahman (rtd.) has extended warm felicitations to Bauchi State citizens and Nigerians.

In a press statement, Chief Press Secretary, Abdullahi Alhassan, quoted his boss as saying: ‘This joyous occasion is a time for reflection, gratitude, and celebration with loved ones, and prayers for national development. We commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son, reminding us of obedience, faith, and sacrifice.

He called on Bauchi State citizens to Nigerians as a whole to support government efforts in maintaining peace and security. We must work together to ensure a safe and prosperous state. I urge citizens to provide information that could lead to the arrest of criminals.

To the pilgrims performing Hajj, Abdurrahman said: ‘I wish you a safe and accepted pilgrimage. I call on you to pray for peace, unity, and stability in Bauchi State and Nigeria. Your prayers are crucial. Only with peace can development thrive in our country’.

He emphasised that ‘development and peace are intertwined. Without peace, progress is impossible. I assure Bauchi State people that the government is committed to ensuring their safety and security. We will address security challenges and create an environment conducive to growth’.

The Chief Security Adviser called on citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity, adding that unity and cooperation are essential in building a stronger, more prosperous, and peaceful state, as he thanked Governor Bala Muhammad for his leadership and vision.

He commended security agencies for their dedication to maintaining peace and order. He said: ‘Together, we can build a safer, more prosperous Bauchi State. I wish all Muslims a happy and blessed Eid-El-Kabir.

‘May Allah accept our sacrifices and prayers. Let’s strive for peace and development in Nigeria. I urge citizens to continue supporting government efforts in maintaining peace and security’.
