Electoral fraud: Edo may be heard, but Enugu’s shout ignored

The recently held governorship election in Edo State is trending for all the wrong reasons as forensic analyses have revealed that it was one person in Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), who allegedly sat down and wrote all the results used to declare the winner’

This allegation by a former presidential aide, Okoi Obono-Obla is raising a lot of dust in many quarters in the country.

The Edo State story will gain traction because the people with deep pockets are speaking for them. But the same thing happened in Enugu State in the 2023 elections, and although they were in pleaded court filings, the people’s will was thumped and trampled.

Like Edo, Owo in the Nkanu East Local Government Area of the state in the 2023 governorship election, one INEC officer wrote all the polling unit results in Owo ward.

You do not need any forensics to agree that the same person wrote the attached documents, as the similarity in the handwriting in the documents below reveals.

In Enugu, more than 42, who died before the election, were marked by INEC to have voted during that election and this also passed the scrutiny of the Nigerian judges.
