Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, who represents Kaduna Central district in the 10th National Assembly, has laid foundation for the construction of 101 blocks of smart classrooms across in his constituency.

At the foundation laying at various schools in his senatorial district, Usman said: “These are modern classrooms that teachers can teach them from Abuja, while the pupils are sitting in the classes in Kaduna, using computer device.

“This type of school can be found in Abuja, Lagos. We have given each of the pupils a school bag that contains a mini computer. This will ease their leaning because primary and secondary education need a strong background. If you have the background, you can go anywhere and come out in flying colours be it in the country or abroad.

“We’re not just building the classrooms, but we’re making them of modern standards by furnishing them with modern teaching and learning aids for both the teachers and the pupils.

“This type of classrooms are just 50 in number in the whole country, but with our commitment to education sector and to ensure our children have basic foundation from primary and secondary, we have secured three out of the 50 set side for the entire country”.

Usman, who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Primary and Secondary Education, charged parents to give their children education, describing it as the best treasure a parent can give to a child. He said that without education, no any meaningful development can be achieve.

The village head of Unguwar Dosa in Kaduna North Local Government Area (LGA), Ward Head in Kasuwan Magana of Kajuru LGA, and Headteacher of Rigachikun Primary School in lgabi LGA thanked the Senator for the gesture. They said that education is the key to all successes.
