According to a statement on Sunday by the Ministry of Education’s Public Enlightenment Director, Mr. Balarabe Kiru, the Commissioner, Dr. Ali Makoda confirmed that the holiday is set to commence on Wednesday, 4 June 2025.

For boarding students, the break will run until 15 June 2025, with their expected return to school on that date. Day students, however, are scheduled to return to classes on Monday, 16 June 2025.

Parents and guardians of boarding students have been advised to collect their wards on the morning of 4 June.

The Commissioner reiterated that all other aspects of the 2024/2025 academic calendar remain unchanged, including all pre-scheduled official holidays.

Makoda urged parents to ensure the timely return of their children after the holiday period.

He also extended his gratitude to the residents of the state for their continuous support and wished all students a peaceful and joyful Eid celebration.
