The former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has thrown down the gauntlet. According to new report, he has informed loyal followers like me that he is still the Speaker of the House.
He wants his detractors to know that he has the original mace. The one that is being used now is the fake one. As fake as his Lagos State University law degree.
Obasa wants people to know that he is not a bastard in Lagos. He was born in Agege not in Iragbiji. He is sounding it loud and clear to even the deaf in Eko that he is still in charge.
Call this lunatic a crazy man. But we have to be careful how we approach a mad dog. An Igbo proverb says that when a a hen sees you in the morning and starts to chase you, you must be stupid not to run. That hen might have grown teeth overnight.
Obasa knows very well that there is a cult in Lagos State. He understands that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is like Idi Amin Dada of the state. His word is law. What he says must not be challenged. Many have tried. Unsuccessfully.
But Obasa knows all these and he is willing to challenge Baba Sope. I want whatever he is smoking. When a dog goes in to take on the lion, there will be bloodshed. With the backing of the gods, theion might be the one covered in blood.
I am behind Obasa like the hunch on the back of the cow. I am pushing him into the ring to take on the Jagaban. It will be a heavy weight boxing mismatch. It will definitely not last the 12 rounds.
I do not hate Tinubu. Ditto for Obasa. But I detest their politics with intense passion.
