NIMN Set for Uyo AGM, Focusing on ESG, Value Creation

The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) will hold its AGM in Uyo from June 19-21, focusing on leveraging ESG for value across generations and fostering sustainable marketing practices

NIMN Uyo AGM will gather marketing professionals in Akwa Ibom for its annual general meeting. The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place from June 19 to June 21 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.

In a statement released on Thursday, the institute indicated that the event, themed ‘Leveraging ESG in driving value across generations’, will particularly focus on responsible innovation and achieving long term societal impact within the marketing sector.

The organisers stated that the AGM will bring together influential thought leaders, seasoned industry professionals, esteemed academia, and practicing marketing experts.

They aim to explore the evolving role of marketing in a world increasingly driven by purpose.

The NIMN confirmed that the conference will also offer a robust platform to examine how marketing can effectively support sustainable business practices and deliver lasting value across different generations.

Speaking at a press conference, Ms. Pat Sado, the institute’s Registrar and Secretary to Council, explained that the conference will feature prominent keynote speakers, engaging panellists, and valuable networking opportunities.

She noted it will provide attendees with critical insights and practical strategies for aligning marketing with responsible innovation, digital transformation, and significant long term societal impact.

The AGM will also provide members an important opportunity to review the Institute’s progress and collectively shape its future direction.

By attending the AGM, participants can gain valuable insights into the latest trends and developments in the marketing profession, as well as network with key stakeholders.

As a professional body regulating the marketing profession in Nigeria, NIMN remains committed to upholding ethical standards, building professional capacity, and promoting excellence within the industry.

Jelly Efedi, chairman of the institute’s events and conference committee, stated that the meeting will allow marketing professionals to connect and learn from one another.

In his remarks, Adewale Adeshina, the NIMN corporate services manager, announced that the institute will induct ninety five associate members and forty five fellows during the event.
