Communication strategist, Mr. Godwin Adindu has been appointed as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Abia State Structures for Signage and Advertising Agency (ABSSAA).
Through this appointment by the state governor, Dr. Alex Otti, Adindu, who is also an erudite scholar, wordsmith and prose stylist, will direct the affairs of the government agency responsible for regulating and controlling outdoor advertising, signage displays and mobile branding permits in Abia State.
The governor said that the appointment is effective immediately.
Adindu is the Publicity Secretary of the Abia State Chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Mass Communication department of Clifford University. He was the former pioneer Director General of the Abia State Orientation Agency and former Chief Press Secretary to the state governor.
Adindu is coming into the new job with over four decades of media practice, academics and government spokesperson experience.
A seasoned print media journalist, Adindu honed his career in Public Relations/Advertising with C&F Porter Novelli as a Senior Manager in the Media Services department between 2004 and 2007, and later served with another communications agency, Taijo Wonukabe Limited, as the Head of Custom Media between 2007 and 2009.
He currently doubles as the Managing Partner of Goodwill Communication Limited and as Executive Director with Quints Marketing Solutions Limited, an experiential marketing agency.
An alumnus of Andrews University in Michigan, United States of America, Adindu also holds an M.Sc. in Media and Communication from Pan Atlantic University, and a postgraduate diploma in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Calabar.
He also trained with the British Broadcasting Corporation in Specialised Political/Election Reporting.
