Promasidor Nigeria Limited has a new Chief Executive Officer. Effective from 1 July 2024, Francois Gillet succeeded Bruno Gruwez, who has decided to pursue new opportunities outside the Promasidor Group.
Gillet joins Promasidor Nigeria from Danone, where he served as General Manager in Réunion. Prior to his tenure at Danone, he had a long career as a General Manager with Lactalis (a world leader in dairy) in Algeria and Brazil.
He is a seasoned executive with extensive international experience and a proven track record of driving business growth and profitability in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, particularly in emerging markets.
Promasidor Group Chief Executive Officer, Anders Einarsson described the new CEO, as a perfect fit for the job. “His expertise spans organisational leadership, strategic analysis, business model development, and commercial management, making him ideally suited to lead Promasidor Nigeria’s next phase of growth”.
A French national, Gillet holds a Master’s in Business Administration from ESCP Business School.
He is married and has children. A leading manufacturer of high-quality products including Cowbell Milk, Loya Milk, Miksi Milk, Kremela, Cowbell Chocolate, Cowbell Evaporated Milk, Cowbell Coffee, Cowbell Strawberry, Top Tea, and Onga food seasoning, Promasidor was founded in 1979 by Robert Rose, who left the United Kingdom in 1957 to pursue his African dream in Zimbabwe. Since then, the company has expanded its presence to several African countries. Promasidor Nigeria commenced operations in 1993 and has achieved remarkable growth over the years.
