Following a recent meeting with President Tinubu in Lagos on Saturday, Omokri expressed his fervent hope that the president will complete two terms in office.

He conveyed his stance via his verified social media platform, stating that the meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm his ‘full, unequivocal, and unwavering support’ for the president’s vision of transforming Nigeria.

‘My prayer is for his Presidency to last for another six years and naturally end on May 29, 2031, after he must have served two terms in office, God sparing his life’, Omokri wrote.

The public endorsement marks a significant political statement, particularly given Omokri’s past criticisms of the ruling All Progressives Congress and his role as an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

His recent positions have often contrasted with those of his former political allies, sparking considerable debate among his followers regarding his evolving political stance.

While the full details of the meeting remain undisclosed, Omokri’s open backing of President Tinubu, who is currently in the second year of his first term, signals a notable shift in the emerging political landscape as discussions around the 2027 general election begin to subtly take shape.
