A roadside billboard collapsed onto the busy Gerrard Road in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Tuesday afternoon, causing temporary traffic disruption in the area.
The incident occurred near Godaif Village, drawing the attention of motorists and passersby. The fallen metal structure and its fittings landed in the middle of the road, forcing vehicles to slow down and maneuver carefully around the debris.
Eyewitnesses at the scene said that the collapse happened suddenly. Several people were seen inspecting the wreckage while traffic continued to move cautiously. As of the time of this report, no injuries or loss of life had been confirmed.
The cause of the collapse is yet to be officially determined, and relevant authorities had not issued a statement at the time of filing this report.
