The human soul is one of the many things you place high premium on when you become a genuine believer of our Lord Jesus Christ. If it were you only on earth being oppressed and and chained by Satan and his malevolent hordes, our Lord Jesus Christ would still have come to save you. In the secular world, the military has a saying to that effect: “None must be left behind.” No matter the war, every military person must be accounted for, and no fallen comrade must be abandoned. This is also spiritually true of us thoroughly converted born-again Christians involved in intense spiritual warfare for the souls of human beings on earth. Another unique experience with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which the Holy Spirit will impress on you as the Lord’s Chosen is the sense of Time. You want to get down to it immediately and begin to spread the Good News just as Paul’s Damascene Experience eloquently demonstrated thus: “Paul stayed with the believers in Damascus for a few days. And immediately he began preaching about Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is indeed the Son of God”! All who heard him were amazed. “Isn’t this the same man who caused such devastation among Jesus’ followers in Jerusalem?” they asked. “And didn’t he come here to arrest them and take them in chains to the leading priests?” Saul’s preaching became more and more powerful, and the Jews in Damascus couldn’t refute his proofs that Jesus was indeed the Messiah” (Acts 9:19-22).
I had that Torschlusspanik attitude at my primary conversion about quarter century ago and even now, it imbues in me the task of taking the Good News to the four corners of the earth. The Gospel is the heartbeat of the True Lord God Almighty and for that purpose and objective He came to save the perishing world. The height of your trow is measured by the level of your evangelistic fervor. No human being touched by the Saving Grace of the Lord of lords and King of kings can be muted by people, events, situations, and circumstances. Just as Peter proudly and boldly dismissed the threats of the Opposition by the Jewish Establishment and refused to be browbeaten but clapback at the Sanhedrin, the fire of evangelistic fervor underscores the fierce urgency of now in the life of the truly redeemed: Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Jesus is” ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.'[Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished, and they took note that these men had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:8-13).
We bowed to the Lord’s Law of Serendipity earlier this year when the Rainbow Nation of South Africa was shown to us by the Holy Spirit as the venue of this year’s Breakthrough 2023. There was another nation we were planning to go to but as usual, the Holy Spirit overruled our decision just as He did to Paul and Silas and prevented them from taking the Good News to Mysia but instead Macedonia. “After the Holy Spirit had prevented them from speaking the word in the province of Asia, they traveled through the region of Phrygia and Galatia. 7And when they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not permit them. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night, Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” As soon as Paul had seen the vision, we got ready to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them” (Acts 16:6-10).
“Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it” (Mark 16:14-20)
In many churches today, we like to subject everything to committees, including spreading the Good News, but the Holy Spirit is our Commanding General. He does not bring souls to His Kingdom through us via setting up of committees because, as our Lord Jesus Christ disclosed to us: “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day” (John 6:44). So, Mr G.O, Pastor or whatever your fanciful title, disband that Outreach or Evangelistic Committee of yours and simply allow the Holy Spirit to have His Way, He had his way in our Breakthrough 2023 in South Africa this year, Hallelujah! Here are snippets from the three-day events and we shall bring you more in subsequent Reporter’s Diary as we headed back home to beautiful Texas through London, United Kingdom.
