Wonders of life cannot but continue to excite and amaze us human beings. There is renewed keen interest among archeologists and many others who pre-occupy themselves with it: The Mystery of the Egyptian Pyramid. It was one of the early features of Egyptian civilization, invincibility, and power. What lies behind it? Not only are there unanswered questions about how it was built but also what has kept it standing for about 4,500 years. Yes, there are traces of wear and tear, but it is still Ages-old and still standing. An Age is 2,160 years. As every average Christian knows, we are in the Age of the Holy Spirit, and with it, the proverbial End-Time when all that is dead will come to an awakening and face judgment. It is the Age when there will be a compulsion to knowledge. That judgment, as it is revealed in higher knowledge, has begun and is sweeping through all lands; the awakening is manifested in the upheavals spreading across the globe, be it in politics and political arrangements, the economy, social life, and relationships—when man’s inhumanity to man would reach its peak. Even people are unable to comprehend or think straight. It is the period Prophet Isaiah saw ages ago: “Take counsel together and it shall come to naught; speak the word and it shall not stand: For God is with us”. (Isaiah 8: 10). It will be the time of unimaginable cleansing, the time when the Light will veil His Countenance from mankind. After the cleansing will be the emergence of the Millennium, meaning the institution of A Thousand Years during which only the Will of God as embodied in the Holy Spirit will reign supreme, brandishing only His Laws of Nature. Man-made laws, banged out from human brains would give way except those of such laws which are consistent with the Laws of Nature.

According to CNN and New York Post online reports, the question is asked: How did ancient Egyptians stack those heavy stones of the oldest pyramid at a time when there were no cranes? The never-thought-of element is being suggested to have been used attributed to the findings of a new study. Reports the New York Post, “A new study aims to answer the centuries-old question of how the Great Pyramids were built thousands of years ago, and its findings have provided an unexpected possible answer—water”. To many a school of thought, even what the scientists have come up with and from their approach, the construction of the pyramid must remain inscrutable and will not get mankind far.

Nevertheless, we are still led by the New York Post and the newspaper goes further: “Though deserts are typically known to lack the wet stuff, the study published in Plos One, a Public Library of Science journal, Monday, theorized that Egyptians used water power to construct the pyramids. The Step Pyramid of Djoser, erected some 4, 500 years ago, may have been built through the use of a unified water-powered hydraulic lift system, the study authors found. Previous theories surrounding how the Step Pyramid was built suggested that ancient Egyptians used a system of ramps and levers to give the structures their towering heights. But the new and never-reported theory suggests the pyramids’ architects utilized nearby canals for their construction process, much like Egyptians of the time used the canals to irrigate their crops. Ancient Egyptians are famous for their pioneering and mastery of hydraulics through canals for irrigation purposes and barges to transport huge stones, the researchers wrote. The work opens a new line of research: the use of hydraulic force to erect the massive structures built by Pharaohs”.

The New York Post states further: “The study argues that the ancient Egyptians used pressurized water to float the pyramid’s building stones toward the upper levels of the growing structure through an internal shaftway in a process known as ‘volcano’ construction. The researchers said they found evidence of a unified water filtration and hydraulic system at the Step Pyramid that purified water from nearby canals and regulated its flow for practical uses. They believe the Step Pyramid may have been built downstream from a watershed and that the nearby Gisr el-Mudir enclosure—which has long remained a mystery—was a massive sediment trap featuring an open check dam. They also said they discovered the potential presence of a dried-up ephemeral lake west of the pyramid which likely filled up the ‘Dry Moat’ encircling the pyramid complex, which then connected with a deep trench that brought water below the ground and up into the shaft inside the pyramid.” The digital edition of the newspaper quotes the researchers as saying in the conclusion of their report: ‘We have uncovered a possible explanation for how the pyramids were built involving hydraulic force. The internal architecture of the Step Pyramid is consistent with a hydraulic elevation device never reported before”.

The CNN online report is not much different from that of the New York Post since they were reporting from the same source, except that the former’s is more exhaustive, adding some points to the postulations. It says of the theory that it is “an ingenuous solution” and that ‘some Egyptologists aren’t convinced as more widely believed theory is that the ancient Egyptians used ramps and haulage devices to put the heavy blocks in place’, quoting a retired senior lecturer in Egyptian archaeology at the University College, London, Dr. David Jeffreys who was not involved with the study. The online edition of the newspaper reports the chief executive officer of a private research institute in Paris, Dr. Xavier Landreau, an institute that studies ancient technologies, as saying: “The techniques involved could include ramps, cranes, winches, toggle lifts, hoists, pivots, or a combination of these methods’. He added: ‘But what about the Old kingdom pyramids (2675-2130 BC), which are much bigger? While human strength and ramps may be the sole construction force for small structures, other techniques may have been used for large pyramids.

The report also suggests that a complex water treatment system drawing upon local resources would have allowed for a water-powered elevator within the pyramid’s internal vertical shaft. Some type of float would have raised the heavy stones up the middle of the pyramid. Says the report: “Step Pyramid for Pharaoh Djoser in the 27th Century BC, and it was the tallest structure at the time, coming in at about 62 metres (204 feet) tall. But how exactly the monument was erected, with a number of stones weighing in at 300 kilograms (about 661 pounds), has remained centuries-old mystery”.

It is good and reassuring that the researchers, according to the New York Post hope to conduct further studies to unravel how the possible water lift system worked in more detail.

The famous Egyptian Pyramid will continue to perplex us human beings for a long time to come as long as the research remains one-sided. My take is that we, archaeologists, included would find at the end of the day that we are groping in the dark clinging to only one side of the coin. The germane question to ask is how Mount Everest and Mount Kilimanjaro were built. According to Wikipedia searchlight, there are 108 mountains on Earth with heights no less than 7,200 metres (23, 600 feet). Indeed, of these 14 are more than 8,000 metres (26,000 feet) tall and heavy stones. The Egyptian Pyramid is 204 metres tall. This means we can advert our minds to some other possible, but invisible forces which are capable of building structures. How were these mountains built and who built them? If they were built by forces of Nature, it should follow that the same forces could have been entreated by people who understood their language to help in the building of the Pyramid in Egypt. In the enlightenment of these times, the mountains were built by Elemental Beings, the species of the Beings called gnomes at the behest of the Egyptians and with their support. The beings built mountains and a variant of their species brought earth crust, sand dunes, and the sands of the beach into existence. Little wonder it is “not for nothing does the Greek geographer Strabo say that the Pyramid was ‘like an edifice let down from Heaven, it was not the work of human hands”. (A Gate Opens by Herbert Vollmann). The pyramid has a square base and four triangular surfaces.

The Elemental beings that were the builders of mountains were giants and of stupendous and inconceivable beauty whose heads could be seen touching the clouds. Because the people of old were close to Nature they could see them and often asked for their help that was joyfully rendered. Because of their size and height, as well as help, the ancient people regarded them as gods and worshipped them, although to the discomfiture of these beings. Confident in the protection they could afford them, and since they were always there tending the mountains, people founded their communities, towns, and villages at the base of the mountains, somewhere the mountain is not too steep, at the lower end of its slopes.

Pyramids were known to be store houses of radiations. Says Vollmann: “The wise men of ancient peoples have known of the deep meaning of the two symbols, the circle and the square. Traces of their knowledge can be found even today in their buildings. Let us think, for example, of the square base and the four triangular surfaces of the Pyramid of Cheops in Egypt….If we imagine the corners of this cube of Subsequent Creation connected with its centre, six equal cosmic pyramids result. One of these could have been their inspiration to create a testimony in stone of mysterious, cosmic wisdom in the form of a pyramid; the Pyramid of Cheops…”

The Elemental Beings are of different kinds; their activities also vary correspondingly. Those in charge of plants are known as elves, the male ones for trees and the female tending delicate plants or parts thereof such as flowers. Those in charge of water, rivers, and oceans are known as nixies which Victor Uwaifo popularized as Mammy Water and Yemoja by the Yoruba people. The elemental beings see to it that they provide the oxygen we need every day, every hour, every split second, for example. They convert the radiant energy of carbohydrates in plants. In the process we know as photosynthesis, the energy of sunlight is used to drive the reaction between carbon dioxide in the air around us and water to form carbohydrates. The complex chemical substances called carbohydrates are put in plant storage organs as in yams, cassava, potatoes, –all roots, and grains such as in rice, maize, and wheat. When we eat them the chemical energy in them is into a form we need for breathing, thinking, motion, speaking and even writing. What this means is that without the activities of the elemental beings, life on earth for any living being, living entities, man and animal, and what have you, would have been impossible.

We read from “In The Light of Truth”, The Grail Message, thus: “Everything taking place in the World of heavy Gross Matter, even the skill of the craftsmen, the creations of the artists, etc, …is only drawn from the preceding activities of the little elemental beings. They have already completed this and much more besides in medium and finer gross matter. There all this is even more perfect in its forms, because the elementals work directly in the Laws of the Will of God which is perfect, and which can therefore only give expression to what is perfect in form.

“Every invention, even the most surprising one, is only borrowed from things already achieved by the beings on other planes.” And we are told that our masterpieces are not yet here. “There are very many such things yet, ready for men to draw upon in order to transfer them here upon earth into the World of heavy Gross Matter.” Much as we may try, for as long as we exclude naturalness and the activities in our research, man will only have part knowledge and not the whole.

THE PROTESTS OUT OF HAND
As this column feared, the protests called to begin last week Thursday, 01 August, went out of control of those who brought out the multitudes for demonstration. The police gave the number of casualties—deaths, the wounded, and destruction of properties. This is not the first time such protest demonstrations have gone awry. The sponsors unfortunately were not prepared to ask how the action was being seen from Above and would not heed the admonitions that any demonstration that occasions harm has reciprocal implications both here on earth and beyond the earthly. To every right is fulfillment of duty and to every action is responsibility regardless of the rightness of the cause. Girls and boys that could be seen between the 12 and 14 age bracket got mobilized and they broke into shops, causing damage, and carted away goods and in some cases furniture. The leaders of the action were not available to guide and control.

The state of the world called for caution everywhere as it is in decline as has been amply shown in the United Kingdom, Kenya, and Bangladesh. In Nigeria, given the magnitude and spread of the protest, the police were bound to spread thin. Therefore, the protests turning violent and slipping out of hand could be foreseen. Time was when we had Chief Anthony Enahoro, Prof. Wole Soyinka, Dr. Tai Solarin, and Chief Bola Ige at the forefront of a protest demonstration. Under such leadership, how would anybody have wished to break loose? Attention has been called to the grievances and the point has been made, the protest should be called off wherever else it may still be lingering. It is better to jaw-jaw than to war-war, as the saying goes.
