President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Friday, November 6, for a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states.
The President will begin the visit in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, where he is expected to commission several projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend a political rally.
Ahead of the visit, Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to welcome the President.
Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the new International Terminal Building, the International Airport Hospital and the Ibom Aviation Village, all located at Victor Attah International Airport.
Tinubu will also commission the Airport-Okopedi Road, which connects communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, as well as Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.
Other projects on the President’s itinerary include the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.
On Saturday, November 7, Tinubu is expected to travel to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to attend an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally.
The event will be his third political rally since he launched his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.
The visits are also expected to provide opportunities for the President to engage with political stakeholders, party members and supporters, while emphasising unity, political stability and a shared commitment to national development.
