Treasurers lament forex scarcity in Nigeria, urge FG to intervene

The Association of Corporate Treasurers of Nigeria (ACTN) has lamented the scarcity of foreign exchange in the country.

Foreign exchange scarcity has been a significant issue for Nigeria and its multiple windows.

To this end, the group has urged the Federal Government to address foreign exchange scarcity bedevilling the country.

At his inauguration as ACTN’s new President, Yinka Ogunnubi noted that most of the association’s challenges had often revolved around the scarcity of foreign exchange.

Ogunnubi said: “For our members and, of course, you know we are a treasurer organisation, most of our challenges have to do with the foreign exchange”.

As of Saturday, the official dollar rate to Naira is N461.5, while it is N738 in the parallel market.
