Election monitoring body, Yiaga Africa, said it will deploy 21 trained and accredited citizen observers using its Process and Results Verification for Transparency (PRVT) methodology to observe today’s bye-elections to ensure the process and results are credible.

The election observation body, in its bulletin, detailing some of its programmes, said the deployment will enable it to provide the most timely and accurate information on the outcome of the elections across the states.

“Tomorrow (today), there will be nine bye-elections across nine states resulting from the resignation or death of members of the National and state House of Assembly.

“As part of ensuring that the process of and results from the elections are credible, Yiaga Africa will deploy 21 (Twenty-One) duly trained and accredited citizen observers using its Process and Results Verification for Transparency (PRVT) methodology to observe the election.

“This deployment will enable Yiaga Africa to provide the most timely and accurate information on the outcome of the elections across the states”, the bulletin stated.
