AC Milan’s UEFA Champions League campaign came to a disappointing end as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Feyenoord at the San Siro, sealing a 2-1 aggregate victory for the Dutch side in the knockout round play-offs.

Milan got off to a perfect start, taking the lead in the 1st minute through Santiago Giménez after an assist from Malick Thiaw. However, their advantage was short-lived as the Italian side struggled to break down a disciplined Feyenoord defence.

The match took a turn in the 51st minute when Milan’s Theo Hernández was shown a second yellow card, reducing the hosts to 10 men.

Feyenoord capitalised on their numerical advantage and found an equaliser in the 73rd minute, with Julián Carranza finishing off an assist from H.Bueno.

The game saw multiple bookings, with Jakub Moder (22’), João Félix (76’), and J. Mitchell (90+3’) receiving yellow cards.

Rafael Leão was also booked in stoppage time (90+7’), while Feyenoord’s G. Read was shown a red card in the dying minutes.

Despite Milan’s efforts to regain control, the draw was not enough to overturn their first-leg deficit, sending Feyenoord through to the next round while AC Milan bowed out of the competition.
