Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has appointed Ima Niboro, former spokesman to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan into his presidential campaign council.
Niboro is named into the Public Affairs Committee of the Tinubu/Shettima 2023 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
Niboro, who doubles as Director of Communications and Media Strategy for the party’s Delta State governorship campaign organisation, is expected to work alongside Barrister Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, who is the spokesman of the Tinubu/Shettima PCC, and other personalities to develop media strategy for the council.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, he was President Jonathan’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity and was later appointed Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria.
Before then, he was Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity (Office of the Vice President).
Niboro holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from Lagos State University, a post graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, and a first degree in English Studies from the University of Port Harcourt.
