The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that the fare for the 2026 pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia will range between N8.1 million and N8.5 million, reflecting a reduction compared to the previous year’s rates.
After the commission signed service agreements with providers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman announced that the new fare structure, approved by the Federal Government, introduces an average saving of about N200,000 per pilgrim, compared to 2025.
Maiduguri-Yola Zone pilgrims from Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba States will pay N8,118,333.67, which is about N209,000 less than the N8,327,125.59 charged in 2025.
Pilgrims from other northern states will pay N8,244,813.67, a reduction of about N213,000 from the N8,457,685.59 rate last year.
Southern states pilgrims will pay N8,561,013.67, which is roughly N223,000 less than the N8,784,085.59 paid for the 2025 Hajj.
NAHCON signed agreements with the hajj service provider company (Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya) and the transportation company (Daleel Al-Ma’aleem).
Usman urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments by 31 December 2025, to meet the deadline set by Saudi authorities.
