Former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has secured significant political support in Osun State ahead of the 2027 general election.
Ahmad made the claim in a post on his verified X account on Thursday, following a visit to the President by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and other members of the state chapter of the Accord Party.
During the visit, Adeleke presented Tinubu with his Certificate of Return.
Reacting to the development, Ahmad said Tinubu had political support from both the ruling and opposition camps in Osun State.
“President Bola Tinubu has Osun on both sides, with the ruling party (Accord) and the main opposition (APC) both firmly within his political orbit,” he said.
Ahmad added that the political developments in the state suggested growing support for Tinubu and his re-election bid.
“For President Tinubu, Osun is already in the bag. The political dynamics in the state have already pointed in one direction, the Renewed Hope and victory in 2027,” he said.
