His Love Foundation (HLF), the charity arm of the Redeemed Christian Church of God will be extending its medical intervention programmes to the people of Maiduguri with the commissioning of Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Centre at Umoru Shehu Ultra-Modern Hospital, Maiduguri on Monday, 23rd May, 2022. This will bring the number of dialysis machines commissioned across Nigeria by HLF to 48.
In the centre, there will be three dialysis machines, one medical water reverse osmosis purification system and one dedicated 30KVA generator. The Maiduguri facility is specifically to ensure that the impact of the projects of the charity organisation continues to spread across Nigeria.
Among donations by HLF in the area of health are the Enoch and Folu Adeboye Intensive Care Units in four hospitals – Lagos State University Teaching Hospital; Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Jos; Redeemers Health Centre, Mowe, Ogun State; and Ondo State School of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Ondo.
The Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Centres are also in 10 hospitals across the country. The locations include Healing Stripes Dialysis Centre, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos State; Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, Ogun State; Redeemers Health Centre Dialysis Centre, Mowe, Ogun State; Redeemers Health Care Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State and; Ondo State School Of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Ondo, Ondo State.
Others are at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State; Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos; Wuse District Hospital, Wuse Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi; and Umoru Shehu Ultra-Modern Hospital, Maiduguri, Borno State.
HLF said that two more dialysis centres would be commissioned later this year. They are at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu and the Comprehensive Medical Centre, Awkuzu, Anambra State.
The foundation has also set up a cancer screening centre, known as the Healing Stripes Cancer Screening Centre at Surulere, Lagos State; and X-ray units at Ondo State School of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Ondo, Ondo State; and Redeemers Health Centre, Mowe, Ogun State.
It also has a cardiac diagnostic unit at Ondo State School of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital; and the Resettlement Community Primary Healthcare Centre, Lekki, Lagos State.
Through its various initiatives, HLF has impacted over 143 million lives globally and has spent over N27 billion in the last four years on various social interventions across the country.
The commissioning event will be attended by eminent persons in government and within the church leadership.
