Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, marked his 83rd birthday on Sunday.

Among those who paid tribute were Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; and Osun State First Lady, Mrs Titilola Adeleke. They praised Adeboye’s unwavering faith and profound impact on society.

Expressing gratitude to God, Adeboye shared a brief message on X: “Thank You, Jesus, for 83 Years of Great Grace. #EAA83″—a statement that resonated with millions of his followers worldwide.

Abiodun, in a heartfelt tribute, described Adeboye’s life as a beacon of humility, dedication, and spirituality.

He stated, ‘Celebrating Daddy G.O. @ 83! On behalf of the government and good people of Ogun State, I heartily congratulate our revered father in the Lord, @PastorEAAdeboye. Your unwavering commitment to the service of God and humanity continues to be a source of inspiration to millions across the world.

‘Your life of humility, dedication, and deep spirituality has not only strengthened the faith of believers but has also contributed immensely to the moral and socio-economic development of our nation.’

Abiodun further prayed for divine blessings upon Adeboye, wishing him ‘many more years in sound health, divine wisdom, and peace of mind.’

Similarly, former Senate President and Kwara State Governor, Bukola Saraki, acknowledged the spiritual leader’s significant role in transforming lives through the RCCG.

In his tribute, Saraki wrote on X: “Happy birthday, Pastor Enoch Adeboye @PastorEAAdeboye. You are indeed a man whom the Almighty has used mightily, through the RCCG, to shape destinies and transform countless lives with your powerful messages of conviction, hope, and love.

‘As my family and I join millions of Nigerians worldwide to celebrate you today, we pray that the Almighty continues to uphold you, granting you renewed strength, ever-increasing wisdom, and divine grace in all you do.’

Adeboye’s influence, marked by decades of spiritual leadership and humanitarian efforts, remains a testament to a life devoted to faith and service.

Also on X, the First Lady of Osun State, in her tribute, described Pastor Adeboye as ‘a true son of Osun State, a father to nations, and a beacon of faith and righteousness.’

She highlighted his humble beginnings in Ifewara, Ile-Ife, and his rise to become a global spiritual leader whose life exemplifies the transformative power of faith, discipline, and service.

‘Daddy G.O., as he is fondly called, is not just a spiritual giant but an embodiment of humility, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the service of God and humanity,’ she wrote.

Adeleke also acknowledged Adeboye’s remarkable contributions to education and youth development through the establishment of Redeemer’s University.

She praised him for nurturing one of the largest Christian movements worldwide and for his tireless efforts to bring hope to the hopeless and raise generations of leaders.

‘Redeemer’s University stands as a testament to your passion for education, innovation, and character development,’ she added, commending the institution’s impact on shaping the future of countless young minds.

Concluding her message, Mrs Adeleke prayed for continued strength, divine favour, and many more years of impactful service for Pastor Adeboye.

‘On this special day, I join the government and the good people of Osun State to celebrate you, Sir.

‘May the Almighty God continue to strengthen you, bless you with good health, and grant you many more years of impact and divine favour. Happy 83rd Birthday, Daddy G.O.!’
