The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa has said that the Board would work in synergy with the state transport authority (Kano Line).
Receiving the management and committee of the Kano State Transport Authority in his office, Danbappa said: ‘Before assuming office, we made a commitment in the presence of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, to work closely and in synergy with all government agencies related to the Pilgrims Welfare Board’.
He assured that the Board would collaborate with Kano Line for the upcoming Hajj operations. He further said that all requirements for the transportation of pilgrims would be presented in advance to ensure Kano Line is well-prepared ahead of time.
Earlier, the Managing Director of state Transport Authority, Alhaji Sa’idu Abdullahi Shu’aibu said that their visit to the Pilgrims Welfare Board was aimed at reviving the long-standing relationship between Kano Line and the Board.
He reiterated his commitment to revitalising the state’s transportation sector in line with the government’s vision of elevating the state to greater heights.
He expressed his appreciation for the warm reception from the Board and pledged that Kano Line would be well-organised and fully prepared for the Hajj operations.
