Chelsea wrapped up their pre-season preparations in style with an emphatic 4–1 victory over a ten-man AC Milan at Stamford Bridge.

A disastrous start for Milan set the tone early. In just the fifth minute, Chelsea took the lead when Andrei Coubis inadvertently headed the ball into his own net under pressure.

Three minutes later, João Pedro extended the lead with a commanding header from a precise Pedro Neto cross, bringing his goal tally to five in just five appearances for the club.

SkySports reports that Milan’s woes deepened shortly after when Coubis was shown a straight red card in the 18th minute for hauling Pedro down in the box, leaving Allegri’s side to battle on with ten men.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Milan offered some resistance. However, in the second half, youthful energy turned the tide. Liam Delap slotted home a well-taken penalty after Estevao was fouled in the area.

Milan did manage a consolation through Youssouf Fofana, who struck past Robert Sánchez to make it 3–1. But Delap wasn’t done yet—he sealed a brace with a composed finish in the final moments, completing the 4–1 scoreline.

With this victory, Chelsea claim the VisitMalta Weekender trophy and conclude their pre-season campaign unbeaten. Their next challenge: a competitive season opener against Crystal Palace, kicking off the Premier League in style
