Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha Akide (popularly known as Tacha) has commenced her Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in 24 hours with 150 models.
The reality TV star started the feat at exactly 8:00pm on Saturday with fans and celebrities present to cheer her.
The event, which began on Friday at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos, is part of her three-day Tacha Beauty Festival, holding from October 10 to 12, 2025.
PUNCH Online observed that the models were seated in preparation for the marathon session, which will see Tacha and her team carry out continuous makeup applications through the day and night.
Some of the models were heard expressing concerns about delayed meals as organisers coordinated the large turnout.
The models are to walk the runway after getting their makeup done in the studio.
Before commencing the record attempt, Tacha paid an emotional tribute to her late mother.
A poster at the venue bore the words, ‘Every makeover, every smile, every moment today is for you. Your legacy lives through me.” The reality star was seen kneeling in front of the banner in what appeared to be a brief prayer moment.
According to her team, the goal of the challenge is to complete makeovers on 150 models within 24 hours, a feat that has never before been attempted on such a scale in Nigeria.
Tacha, who gained fame after appearing on Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem Season in 2019, has since built a thriving brand as a media personality and businesswoman.
As of the time of filing this report, celebrities including Broda Shaggi, Dabota Lawson, Hilda Baci, Samuel Banks, Nons Miraj, Liquorose, Somadinma Anyama, among others were present at the venue to show support for her record-breaking attempt.
The session is expected to run through the night and conclude on Sunday, after which the results will be submitted to Guinness World Records for official verification.
