Opening the panel session, Raheem Akingbolu noted that ‘There’s no better time to discuss this topic, other than now, because this is almost like collaborating with the International Men’s Day. And I think God should probably let us make this event another event to collaborate the International Men’s Day, because men’s life actually matters. The scientific plays everybody on us. You know, thinking that we can do everything, that we should not express our fears, our feelings, our emotions, which is very low, because we are also given the same blood that blows in the veins of the women. So it is also in our own system.
‘As a matter of fact, the society is also denying the full value of what men can bring to the table. It shouldn’t be about us providing for your house alone. We have roles to play in bringing up the children’.
