Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has won the English Women’s Super League Save of the Month award for November.
The Brighton & Hove Albion shot-stopper beat strong competition from Aston Villa’s Sabrina D’Angelo, Liverpool’s Faye Kirby and Manchester City’s Ayaka Yamashita to clinch the award for the first time.
Nnadozie won the accolade for her brilliant save in Brighton’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool, where she sprang acrobatically to tip Fuka Nagano’s long-range strike onto the crossbar before the ball went out of play.
The 24-year-old, who joined Brighton ahead of the current WSL season, has quickly become a fan favourite for her commanding presence, sharp reflexes and consistency between the posts.
The save immediately drew applause from spectators and was replayed widely across WSL platforms, with analysts describing it as one of the standout goalkeeping displays of the season.
PUNCH Sports Extra had reported that Nnadozie was nominated for the individual accolade in October. Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar beat her and two other goalkeepers to that award.
Already celebrated as one of Africa’s top goalkeepers, Nnadozie continues to build her reputation in England’s top tier, where she has delivered a series of confident and mature performances for Brighton.
The 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year is the Super Falcons’ lead goalkeeper and has earned global praise for her penalty saves, leadership qualities and consistency on the international stage.
