Kaduna gets longest asphalt road in 20 years, connects 76 communities

The Kaduna State Government has said that it had completed the 35-kilometre asphalt road linking Gadar Gayan via a spur at Gwaraji to Maraban Kujama.

Gayan is in Igabi Local Government Area (LGA), while Gwaraji is located at LGA and Maraban Kujama is in Chikun LGA.

According to the state government, the project includes a 130-metre bridge across the River Kaduna which traverses 76 farming communities, connecting three LGAs.

Groundbreaking for the road was performed by Governor Sani in January, last year, while construction was carried out by Messrs Mother Cat Nigeria Limited.

This landmark project is the longest asphalt road constructed in the state in the last two decades, improving connectivity, facilitating the movement of people and goods, and stimulating economic activities across the benefitting communities.

‘It is part of the rural transformation iinitiatives of the the governor to enhance the economy and livelihood of the communities’, the statement government said.
